does spending money makes one happy? yes, to a certain extent.
according to findings, spending money for an experience like going to a concert, lessons, classes or travelling produces longer-lasting satisfaction than just splurging on stuff. the reason being such experiences allow for reminiscences giving longer-lasting happiness.
also, scholars found that anticipation increases happiness. hence planning for a purchase will bring more pleasure than making a last minute buy.
so now we can all buy our way to bliss. :P
